There is an infinite number of connections between art and mathematics, and through five visual presentations, you will get a glimpse of some of these. We will learn how quantum computers can be used to create music; how traditional art forms can be used to express mathematical relationships; how mathematics can be used to solve everyday puzzles and games; which artworks are hidden deep within simple mathematical equations; how patterns in art inspire mathematical results.
Join us on a free journey through the creative world of mathematics and experience the art hidden within the backbone of science.
The art of mathematics is an event during the future festival Hyfer, organized by the Department of Mathematical Sciences at NTNU.
Please note that photos will be taken during the festival on the 22nd and 23rd of September. The images will only be used for communication and information related to the festival going forward.
